Getting a good swim in Hong Kong is one of the best ways to beat the summer heat. There are many public pools, but some are truly standouts that are worth checking out. Some are even open to non-hotel guests! These hk pools are the perfect place to cool off, whether you want to swim some laps or just lounge around and take in the scenery.
The first pool on our list is the swanky Rosewood Hong Kong, which has an infinity pool overlooking the city skyline. Usually only reserved for hotel guests, but during the summer months they welcome outsiders to come enjoy the pool and the views! This pool isn’t too far from the MTR and is a quick walk or taxi ride from Choi Hung station. You can even grab a few bites at the hotel’s Asaya Kitchen to fuel your swim.
The next pool on our list is the glitzy Ritz Carlton Hong Kong. This sleek indoor pool is located on the 118th floor of the International Commerce Center, so it feels like you’re swimming in the clouds! Floor to ceiling windows, mirrored ceilings, and LED walls all add to the experience. It’s also the most high-tech pool in Hong Kong, using a holographic system to project coral reefs underwater! This pool is definitely for the Instagram-savvy.
There are a few more hk pools on our list that aren’t as high-tech, but still offer some pretty incredible views. The Sai Kung Public Swimming Pool is another example. This huge complex offers multiple pool areas, including a 50-metre main pool, diving pools, and spectator stands for up to 380 people. There are also two kid-friendly pools filled with water fountains and slides that will surely delight the little ones.
A word of warning: be sure to check the rules of each pool before you visit! Some require you to wear a shirt that’s clean and white, while others have strict dress code rules like no cut off jeans. You may also be required to bring a towel or a locker key. Some of them even have a minimum age limit!
